MISSIONARY

Matthew 28:19-20

Purpose:

This ministry is to lead the church in identifying and meeting some local community needs as well as assisting the sick and needy of First Baptist Church Maddoxtown. Special concern is to be given to those confined to Nursing Homes or their homes and special efforts are made to provide comfort and cheer at special seasons of the year.

This mandate is to be carried out by the following:

Seek and identify all who are unsaved in our church by acquiring addresses etc. to help evangelize them.
A similar list should be made of those sick and shut in.
Records should be kept stating what needs to be done for them, and also what has been done for them.

Becoming a member:

To become a member of the missionary auxiliary or for more information, contact the Missionary President.

Activities

Visitation with our sick and shutin members; Coat drive; Blankets and toiletries to Hope Center; Clothing drive; Angel Tree; Cards of encouragement to members and college students
